Our constantly evolving cultures essentially form the intrinsic portion of our histories and identities. No culture, no history and no culture without a history. Thus we cannot know truly who we are and how to lean forward, not unless we know where we come from . As diverse and unique as our histories may be, it is true that our predecessors had many damp pages in the realm of history to uncover. Fortunately and unfortunately, the tears in their eyes were so heavy that, they could not see in totality, trace, and form for us a better fate. It is also true that most of their positive achievements; legacies, inventions and discoveries still remain unbeatable leaving us in comfort but again most wanting. We as a new people, owe more to posterity than our ancestors owed us. We are better equiped to get done whatever previous generations could not do. We are more opportuned to come up with new discoveries and better inventions for our next generations. The great question is, what is there that we have achieved to leave our next generations wondering, thinking and researching? Any home work for posterity? We better be careful not to bear the shame of transfering our home work to them and call it their home work. To prepare them for new challenges, we, in truth and vigour must squarely face the challenges we inherrited from our predecessors as well as our present days'. By so doing we will correct past errors, work more diligently towards our goals, while leaving minimal or no error in our work, in our character, in our discoveries, inventions and legacies. We shall by our accomplishments be defined and known as the THE PERFECT GENERATION.To achieve this, we all must study to be true grand masters of our crafts; true to our calling(s).

Yes I can tell, We shall be called the perfect Generation. And our next generations will be challenged by the degree of our perfection to be more perfect. That is the home work we will have for them by time we achieve all these things.

And this is the SAWA-AFRICANA DREAM

We as a human race, have cried enough. Coming far away, far, far and wide and still to settle within the unknown. Now that we are here, it makes more sense for us to break every shackle of hate, shine our lights and leave virtous footprints of ideas, inventions and discoveries as we gradually and peacefully clock out...

It' is time we turn full attention to the new call...the new waves and tides of evolution see no more fashion in norturing pain and unloading on one another.

The winds of living for one another are here; stronly present to stand the test of time. I hear them roaring: It's time enough!...Tis time we start celebrating one another.

SAWA-AFRICANA is here to play her role in respond to the call by promoting a culture of ideals. Ideals that heal past wounds, create room for growth and development while safeguarding collaboration and harmony for the best co-existence of mankind and nature.

ART EXHIBITION

Featuring

PHOTOGRAPHY
Distinct and entertaining display of classical works of still images from

Grand masters and from outstanding and most promising talents in
        training.

                                       PAINTING/ILLUSTRATION
         A distinguished assembly and show of contemporary and traditional
         paintings tracing our roots, enhancing and projecting cultures.
         Masters and students work in teams and compete for the best
         paintings in aesthetics, diversity and harmony.

                                           PERFORMING ARTS
         Hosting over a hundred performances a year in Dance, Music and
         Theater.

          DANCE: Enjoy our cross-cultural collection of ancient and
          modern dance. Our performers hail from Africa; Benin, South Africa,
          Nigeria, Cameroon and from Asia; India, china, Japan.
          LATINO; Columbia, Spain, Brazil. Experience the first effort ever to
          to harmonize Salsa, Meringue, Bikutsi, Moni-kim, Zaico, Samba,
Thai-tchi and Ekpe into one kneaded and complete work of art.

          MUSIC and POETRY: At Sawa-Africana, we display poetry both as
          an independent art and a language on its own; spoken in other
          works of art. As a language of music, poets and musicians in our
          programs will thrill and possibly heal you with music/sound journeying
          with you through all levels of consciousness--body, energy(breath),
          mind, imagination/intellect and bliss. Grand masters and students
          will use music to take you out of stress, expand your creativity and
           help you achieve radiant health and wholeness.

           DRAMA AND THEATER: Our approach is differrent.

Our theatre is not only exciting, but also

boosting health to full capacity.

We entertain for wellness. Our performances

are scheduled according to treatment plans.

Our presentations, though generally didatic,

informative and faithfully entertaining, they

carry within, full potentials of relieving our

spectators as well as performers from post-

traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia,

affective disorder and substance abuse.

Family members; (children, adolescents, adults

and elderly people) from various socio-cultral

who come with specific health challenges into

our program, never go back the same.

MODELLING and PERSONALITY

Great bodies and characters in display. Exceptional virtue and pysique idols. M&P Masters show case their best works;
Masters and students in exhibition project and communicate traits in posture and movement. Training here is for posture, coordination, greater efficiency and better self awareness in movement Inspiring professional performers, athletes, sedentary workers and the masses.
